Infant Feeding + Newborn Care Class (3 hrs)- recommended 33-36 wks (IN PERSON)

This private, discussion-oriented and hands-on class is intended to enable new parents to thrive. Bringing a new baby home can be intimidating, but our goal is to give you a clear plan for welcoming your newborn. Expectant parents can confidently step into their roles feeling equipped to feed, care for, and comfort their new baby or babies.

We will cover an array of topics including

INFANT FEEDING:

  1. Breastfeeding, latch, positions, etc

  2. Breast pump best practices

  3. Troubleshooting common feeding challenges

  4. Paced bottle feeding

  5. Sleep and infant feeding

  6. Ways to bond with baby while feeding

  7. Colic and reflux

NEWBORN CARE

  1. Parenting philosophies

  2. Bringing your baby home - what to expect

  3. How birth shapes the postpartum period

  4. Options for infant feeding

  5. Your baby’s health & wellness

  6. Newborn care & swaddling

  7. Newborn cues for communication
