Hi, I’m Randi, a postpatum doula and lactation educator on the Boston Area Doulas team.

A bit about Randi: She is a mom of two and certified postpartum doula. She has spent the majority of her life working with children of all ages and abilities in numerous settings.

Before becoming a mother, she had a career in Applied Behavior Analysis, working with neurodivergent and Autistic children from infancy through young adulthood.

After her own complicated journey through conception and pregnancy, experiencing a difficult postpartum time and spending six years as a stay at home mother, Randi found herself longing to provide new parents with the knowledge, help and support she knew would have greatly benefited her and her family. Randi began supporting her friends and family members through the newborn phase and loving every second of it! As more people began to lean on Randi for guidance, she realized that she had finally found her passion in her own life through this work. Because of these experiences as well as her own, she pursued an education as a birthworker focusing on the postpartum experience. As your postpartum doula, she looks forward to providing emotional, physical and informed support to help ease this transitional phase of life.

Advice to families: The time when a baby is first brought home is a time of adjustment for the whole family. Allow yourself to process these changes and give yourself grace through the journey. You are exactly the right parent for your child.

Randi has a passion for hiking mountains in the summer and skiing down them in the winter! Getting out into nature and challenging her mind and body has always been cathartic and her favorite way to reconnect with herself.

Check out what one of Randi’s families said about her:

"Randi was instrumental in our postpartum experience. She helped us navigate early parenthood in countless tangible and intangible ways. Some examples include helping us troubleshoot different nursing positions, pumping, milk storage, baby wearing (she even brought a different style from home for us to try!), baby bath time, swaddling, and early childhood development activities. She helped us set up some of our baby gear that we hadn’t had a chance to figure out yet. When we had a last minute medical appointment for our daughter, Randi packed our diaper bag for us (which was still in its original wrapping!) and watched our pups for us while we were gone. She made sure that we ate, showered, and slept. By the end of the six weeks, we felt much more independent and confident taking care of our baby. I highly recommend working with Randi during your postpartum period. She goes the extra mile, meets you where you are, and is simply an invaluable resource to have on your team.”
