Hi, I’m Nayeli, a postpartum and infant care doula on the Boston Area Doulas team. I have been doula-ing for as long as I can remember. I am the oldest of six children and played a hands-on role in helping my single mom raise my younger siblings. I am passionate about supporting babies and love to offer education and inclusive non-judgmental advice to new parents.
I come to doula work with years of experience nannying and working in infant day care settings. I made the shift the doula work when I played a doula role for a mom I was nannying for. She relied on me a lot to teach her things like how to soothe her baby, doing different age-appropriate enrichment activities for her baby, and noticing her baby’s cues. I realized how much I loved supporting parents as well as babies! As your doula, I get to support not only your baby, but you! I want to carry your worries and stress so that you can be the best version of yourself for your newborn.
Nayeli’s advice to expecting or new parents: Don’t compare your experience to others! Everyone’s pregnancy, birthing, and postpartum period is different.
Outside of doula-ing, I love to read, go on long walks with my dogs, and binge watch tv shows!

Check out what one of Nayeli’s families said about her:
“Nayeli is incredible! She has become part of our family. I cannot imagine trusting someone more with my son. My son loves her; they are inseparable. She is incredibly flexible, mature, cool-headed, and positive. At the end of our visit, she would give me a download of what was going on, and was very communicative throughout the day as well. At the end of our visit, she is not running out the door, she took time to make that transition go smoothly. Her support of me was above and beyond. We would love to have her in our lives forever!”
