Hi, I’m Kelly, a postpartum doula and lactation consultant on the Boston Area Doulas team. I have always had a passion for helping families and caring for infants and children. After many years as a nanny, I was inspired to get into doula work. I discovered that I loved not only caring for babies and helping them learn and thrive, but also loves supporting the family as a whole. I love being able to provide lactation/infant feeding support and help parents with newborn care strategies in order to make the postpartum period run smoother!

Kelly's advice to parents of infants: Don’t get caught up in doing things “the right way." The most important thing your new baby needs is love.

Outside of doula-ing, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, listening to music, and going to the gym. I was a competitive gymnast for 16 years, and also have a twin sister.

Check out what one of Kelly’s families said about her:

“At night Kelly would take instructional videos to show me different swaddling techniques and send them in the morning. She would arrive each evening and sit at the kitchen table and ask about our day, give observations on her prior nights with Alice, and most impactful, would chat with me about how I was feeling. I couldn't wait until she would come at 8:30pm - always a ray of sunshine and so supportive of me in a time that can feel all about the baby. I got the sense she WANTED to be here, not that she HAD to be here. On extra tough nights, she'd give me a hug and tell me that everything would be ok. I'd go upstairs feeling relieved and a sense of safety”
