Hi! I’m Dario, a postpartum doula on the Boston Area Doulas team. Prior to becoming a doula, I was a nanny for 20 years. I became a doula because through my work as a nanny, I saw how parents were often left to figure things out on their own and lacked the confidence and the ability to trust their own instincts. I wanted to empower parents to own their parenting journey and build their community so that they are never lacking in support.

My advice to new/expecting parents:  Parenting is full of surprises. Keep an open mind and enjoy the ride!

When I’m not doula-ing, I enjoy coffee, reading, mindfulness, learning new languages, and community.

Childhood aspirations: a doctor, lawyer, teacher, and a parent of course!

Check out what one of Dario's families said about them:

“I am a doctor who works in family medicine and obstetrics, and Dario was very cautious in terms of safety. They have a ton of knowledge around infants, and also helped us figure out what the best strategy to help manage infant sleep issues or even my toddler’s meltdowns. They helped with pumping, and figuring out wake/sleep cycles. They are intelligent and thoughtful, and continued to learn to help me find resources and solutions.  They are a great listener and have a calm tone and presence.”
